CCG celebrates the work of community organisations

NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) recently celebrated the work of partners taking part in the first year of its community investment programme.

Fifty representatives from local community organisations gathered to learn about the work done in the first year of the CCG’s programme on Thursday 3rd November.

The programme sees the CCG investing in projects, run by community organisations, which are designed to improve health and wellbeing.

In total, 64 projects were supported in the first year which directly supported almost 12,000 people.

The programme started in 2015 after community groups were invited to apply for funding.

The programme prioritises supporting people who experience worse health than most and includes people dealing with financial difficulties, disadvantage, discrimination, people with multiple health issues, people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups.
