Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust, which operates the city’s four NHS walk-in centres, has announced changes to opening times.
Currently, walk-in centres all operate different hours, with some opening at 7am and closing at 10pm, and others operating between 8am and 8pm. These varied times across the city can lead to confusion for patients.
From 18 December, the opening hours will be standardised, with all four walk-in centres opening between 8.00am and 8.00pm.
No appointment is required to attend one of the walk-in centres, which are also open on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and other bank holidays.

Walk-in centres offer treatment and/or advice for minor illnesses and injuries. In addition, all GP practices in Liverpool are contactable between 8am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. For urgent advice from a GP between 6.30pm and 8am, at weekends, or on a bank holiday, you can call NHS 111, who can refer you to a local out-of-hours GP if needed.
