Find the best health and care apps for you with ORCHA

29 Jan 2020

Apps on your phone or tablet can help you take care of your health and wellbeing in lots of different ways:

  • keep an eye on things like your blood pressure, diabetes, weight, sleep, mood and all kinds of other things
  • monitor your health at home, on the go, or wherever in the world you are
  • feel healthier and happier
  • be more informed and in control
  • reduce visits for check-ups

There are thousands of apps to choose from and it can sometimes be a little bit difficult to figure out which ones you can trust to do a good job.

NHS Liverpool CCG has therefore been working with a local company called ORCHA (the Organisation for the Review of Care and Health Applications), to bring you liverpool.orcha.co.uk – a library of reviewed health and care apps that can help you find the ones that will be best for you.

All of the apps on this website have undergone a detailed review which considers key areas of regulation and compliance aligned to NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines relating to app standards.

The review process leaves no stone left unturned, so you can feel confident that you’re choosing the best app for your lifestyle.

Please note: NHS Liverpool CCG is not endorsing any of the apps that appear on the ORCHA site, but rather offering you this tool to help you make more informed decisions.

To start using this tool now, simply go to liverpool.orcha.co.uk
