This is a further update for Primary Care Connect practice patients.
In January 2019 Primary Care Connect (PCC) gave notice to NHS Liverpool Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) that it would be ending its contracts for six GP practices: Anfield Health, Everton Road, Garston, Netherley Health Centre, Park View and West Speke.
Update on Netherley Health Centre
On 8 April 2019 we informed patients of this practice that Valley Medical Centre would be running the Primary Care Connect GP practice at Netherley Health Centre from mid-April 2019. Valley Medical Centre have since withdrawn their offer.
Following a short re-procurement exercise, NHS Liverpool CCG has identified a suitable alternative provider for Netherley Health Centre: Dr Jude’s Group Practices.
This is in addition to Dr Jude’s Group Practices becoming the new provider for three other former Primary Care Connect practices - Park View, West Speke, and Garston.
All four practices will stay open, in the same place, and patients will not need to move to another GP practice. All contact details will stay the same too. Current Primary Care Connect Netherley staff will have the opportunity to transfer to Dr Jude’s Group Practices.
An event is being organised for each practice so that patients have an opportunity to meet Dr Jude Mahadanaarachchi and ask any questions they might have. Practices will advertise the events to patients.
The dates/venues are as follows:
All sessions are from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
NHS Liverpool CCG has written to all registered patients of the practices to inform them about the new provider.
If patients have any queries or concerns they can contact NHS Liverpool CCG in the following ways: By phone: 0151 247 6409; by text: 07920 206 386; or by email: email@example.com.
Dr Jude’s Group Practices will run Netherley Health Centre from 30 April 2019. Contracts have been awarded until March 2022, which is the longest contract that NHS Liverpool CCG is able to offer. It is likely that during 2021 we will start a new process to decide who will run the four practices from April 2022 onwards.
